WELCOME TO THE HASSELBLAD FOUNDATION
The Erna and Victor Hasselblad Foundation, established in 1979, is a fully independent, not-for-profit foundation. The main aim of the Foundation is to promote research and academic teaching in the natural sciences and photography. The Foundation also presents an annual international award in photography to “a photographer recognized for major achievements”.

Lars Öhrström, professor of inorganic chemistry at the Chalmers Institute of Technology in Göteborg, has been awarded the 2008 stipend in Grez-sur-Loing for natural scientist.

Current Exhibition at Hasselblad Center
New Nordic Photography 2008 Common Grounds, June 14 – August 24
Opening Friday June 13 at 5.30 - 7 PM
New Nordic Photography is the annual summer exhibition, presenting new works by emerging Nordic photography artist. The nine candidates are nominated for the prestigious Victor Fellowship. Anna Linderstam, 2007 Victor Fellow, presents her new work.

New organization
The activities of the Hasselblad Foundation and the Hasselblad Center are from January 1, 2008 consolidated and will, from now on, be operated by the Hasselblad Foundation. The Hasselblad Center will remain as the name of our exhibition hall at the Göteborg Museum of Art.
A new web site is under preparation.
