Welcome to the talk and book release of Kvinnor bakom kameran: 1848–1968, organized by the Hasselblad Foundation, Bokförlaget Arena, and the Göteborg Art Museum’s museum shop.

Kvinnor bakom kameran: 1848–1968 is a photographic biography about the history of female professional photographers in Sweden, and is the result of a years-long research project by photo historian and honorary doctor in photography Eva Dahlman, literary historian/critic Magnus Bremmer, and photo historian Björn Axel Johansson. The book was awarded the Hasselblad Foundation’s photography book grant in 2020.

During the evening, Eva Dahlman will present her book in conversation with photographer and photo editor Lena Wilhelmsson, as well as the Hasselblad Foundation’s Chief Curator, Dragana Vujanovic Östlind. The talk will be held in Swedish.
