Organizing touring exhibits is one aspect of the activities of the Hasselblad Foundation. Many of the exhibits we have produced in house have also toured both in Sweden and abroad.
In recent years our exhibits have been displayed in museums and galleries in countries including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the United States.
The exhibitions that will be toured by The Hasselblad Foundation at the moment are:
The South African tour started in Johannesburg Art Gallery in the autumn of 2010. During 2011 the exhibition was shown at the South African National Gallery in Cape Town, Red Location Museum in Port Elizabeth, Durban Art Gallery, and finally in Cole's township Mamelodi, at the University of Pretoria's Mamelodi Campus' library.
The exhibition was shown at two venues in Sweden in 2012: the Hasselblad Center and Kristianstad Konsthall, half of it at the Barbican Art Gallery in London and a selection of pictures at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. In 2014 the exhibition will be shown at Preus Museum in Horten, 19/1–1/6, and will be shown the Grey Art Gallery at NYU in New York City, 3/9-6/12.
