In connection with the exhibition Rise of the Sunken Sun, the Hasselblad Foundation invites you to a lecture by Minik Thorleif Rosing, Professor of Geology at the University of Copenhagen.

Drawing on decades of research into the Earth’s early processes, the origins of life, and the geology of Greenland, Rosing reflects on how landscapes emerge over deep time — and how human relationships to place, materiality, and history are formed. The lecture offers a scientific and in-depth perspective on the landscapes and narratives that also shape Inuuteq Storch’s photographic practice, informed by Rosing’s personal relationship to Kalaallit Nunaat.

Date: Thursday, 9 April
Time: 6:00–7:00 pm
Venue: Stadsbiblioteket, Trappscenen
Admission: Free entry
The lecture will be held in English.
