Special tour of Bugs & Metamorphosis
Welcome to join us for a special tour of Bugs & Metamorphosis: Glitching Photography, with Louise Wolthers and Nina Mangalanayagam, curators of the exhibition, who will lead us through the exhibition, its works and themes along with some of the participating artists.
The tour will end with a performance in the exhibition by Monica Alcazar-Duarte.
Information about her performance:
Seeds of Nepantla
The performance is inspired by the concept of Nepantla: a word of Aztec origin referring to the area between two bodies of water, or a state of in-between-ness. Affirming the value and survival of her ancestors’ indigenous knowledge, Mexican-British artist Mónica Alcázar-Duarte examines western society’s obsession with speed, expansion and resource accumulation at a time when ecological disaster looms.
The guided tour is included in the entrance ticket and will be held in English. No registration in advance is required.
