THE HASSELBLAD AWARD 2017
The winner of the Hasselblad Award 2017 will be announced on the Hasselblad Foundation website at 11 am CET on March 8, Victor Hasselblad´s birthday. The award is given for major photographic achievements and consists of a gold medal, a diploma, and SEK1,000,000 (approx. EUR100,000).

The international jury that nominated this year’s winner to the Foundation´s Board of Directors consisted of:

Award ceremony in Gothenburg
The award will be presented on October 9, in Gothenburg, Sweden. In conjunction with the ceremony, an exhibition will open with the award winner’s works, a symposium will be arranged and a new book will be published about the awardee.
About the Hasselblad Award
The Hasselblad Award is the world’s biggest, international award in photography. It was first given in 1980 to Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson. Among the recent winner’s are Stan Douglas, Paul Graham and Nan Goldin. Read more about the Hasselblad Award winners.
