Double opening: Women Behind the Camera 1848–1968 and Erna Behind the Camera
Welcome to the opening of two new exhibitions at Hasselblad Center: Women Behind the Camera, 1848–1968 and Erna Behind the Camera.
The two new exhibitions highlight women photographers who have long stood in the shadow of history. In Women Behind the Camera, 1848–1968, the professional women who shaped the history of photography in Sweden are presented, while Erna Behind the Camera brings Erna Hasselblad out of her husband’s shadow and into the spotlight as a photographer and co-founder of one of the world’s most renowned camera brands.
The exhibitions are part of the Hasselblad Foundation’s commemoration of the 200th anniversary of photography.
Curator of Women Behind the Camera, 1848–1968 is Dragana Vujanović Östlind.
Curator of Erna Behind the Camera is Andréas Hagström.
