Lecture: Women Have Always Photographed! – Life, Work, and Traces in Swedish Photo History
In connection with the exhibition Women Behind the Camera 1848–1968, the Hasselblad Foundation invites you to a lecture with Eva Dahlman, ethnologist, photo historian, and, together with Magnus Bremmer and Björn Axel Johansson, co-author of the book that forms the basis of the exhibition.
In this lecture you will encounter several of Sweden’s many remarkable women photographers, including Rosalie Sjöman, Maja Åström, Ebba-Lisa Roberg and Ulla Roberg (Studio Deux Sœurs), and Astrid Bergman Sucksdorff. We gain insight into their lives as professional photographers and their significant impact on history.
