In collaboration with the International Science Festival Gothenburg, we invite you to a conversation about encountering nature through photographic techniques.

Photography is a powerful technical tool for documenting and analyzing nature. Over the years, technological advancements, such as microscopic cameras and high-resolution sensors, have made it possible to approach nature in new ways, both as researchers and artists.

In a conversation with artist Henrik Håkansson, entomologist Peter Nielsen, and curator Lina Aastrup, we explore the opportunities and challenges of photographic techniques in the encounter with nature and the insights and knowledge it can offer us regarding ecology and climate issues.

Time:
Friday, April 4th, 12:00-12:45
Location: The Stairs Scene, Gothenburg City Library

Participants:
Henrik Håkansson, artist
Peter Nielsen, entomologist at Gothenburg Museum of Natural History
Lina Aastrup (moderator), curator at Sörmland Museum

The event is organized in collaboration with the International Science Festival Gothenburg and on the occasion of the exhibition Bugs & Metamorphosis: Glitching Photography at the Hasselblad Center. Free entry. The talk will be held in Swedish.
