Welcome to a first guided tour of the exhibitions Women Behind the Camera and Erna Behind the Camera, together with the curators and contributors to the book Women Behind the Camera, 1848–1968.
The two new exhibitions highlight women photographers who have long stood in the shadow of history. In Women Behind the Camera, 1848–1968, the professional women who shaped the history of photography in Sweden are presented, while Erna Behind the Camera brings Erna Hasselblad out of her husband’s shadow and into the spotlight as a photographer and co-founder of one of the world’s most renowned camera brands.

Book contributors: Eva Dahlman, photography historian and author, and Lena Wilhelmsson.
