Hasselblad Award 2018

The winner of the Hasselblad Award 2018 will be announced March 8,
Victor Hasselblad´s birthday. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and here at our website at 2 pm CET.
The award is given for major photographic achievements and consists of a gold medal, a diploma, and SEK1,000,000 (approx. EUR100,000).

Award ceremony in Gothenburg

The award will be presented on October 8, in Gothenburg, Sweden. In conjunction with the ceremony, an exhibition will open with the award winner’s works, a symposium will be arranged and a new book will be published about the laureate.

About the Hasselblad Award

The Hasselblad Award is the world’s biggest, international award in photography. It was first given in 1980 to Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson. Among the winner’s are Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Cindy Sherman and Rineke Dijkstra.
