OPEN CALL FOR THE PHOTO SALON 2025
In the summer of 2025, the Hasselblad Foundation will launch Sweden's largest photo salon – Fotosalongen 2025. We welcome amateurs and professional photographers across all genres to apply through an open call. The application period is open from September 2nd – November 30th. The selection will be made by a prestigious jury consisting of Pauline Benthede, Global Vice President of Exhibitions at Fotografiska; Eva Dahlgren, artist and devoted photographer; Paul Hansen, award-winning photographer at Dagens Nyheter; and Dragana Vujanovic Östlind, jury chair and Chief Curator at the Hasselblad Foundation.
Fotosalongen opens on May 23rd, 2025, and will fill the walls of the Hasselblad Center. This extensive initiative is in line with Erna and Victor Hasselblad's goal to support the photographic landscape. The ambition is to offer visitors unexpected encounters where established artists meet new talents and photographers who have been active for a long time but have not yet shown their work—until now.
Anyone who works with still photography and is active in Sweden and at least 18 years old can apply. Fotosalongen aims to reflect the breadth of photography, from documentary, photojournalism, nature, family, or street style to science, politics, art, and everything in between. The selection focuses on interesting images and stories and the diversity of expression. Fotosalongen will take the pulse of contemporary photography.
